MY A.M. BEAUTY ROUTINE with Boe Sapun of Écume Gallery.
Wake-Up Time: 5:00AM (10 min snooze)
I’d love to say I drink warm water with lemon for the wonderful health benefits, however I just don’t find the taste appealing. I do, however, drink a large glass of water when I awake, but coffee is definitely my morning drink preference.
Cleanse: 10 mins
I don’t wear make-up to gym. I brush my teeth with Marvis Toothpaste. I have the variety pack at the moment, so right now I’m testing the Jasmin Mint. Then, I splash lukewarm water on my face and cleanse with Ella Baché Lait Exotique Balancing Cleansing Milk which has really helped balance my skin. Then, I’m off to the gym, Apple iPhone in hand with music pumping loud in my ears and through my veins. My gym playlist at the moment is Big Grams self-titled album or anything Prince.
Check Emails & Scroll Apps: Google Calendar, Instagram, etc.
I enjoy social media. My preference is Instagram as I find it inspiring in all creative fields – be it art, music, fashion, fitness, lifestyle, etc. I love it all and feel it’s such a beneficial marketing and network tool for my art and my online gallery.
Gym: 5:30AM, 1 hour
Fitness is priority for me; healthy body, healthy mind. Weight training is my fitness of choice. I like the way it transforms my body and builds strength. My style in the gym is more towards tomboy; my gear is very minimal – normally a hoodie paired with 2XU compression leggings and Nike sneakers. (I’m always in black.)
Daily Supplements: 2 + (Orb Multivitamin + Fish Oil)
Generally, I eat healthily, however I do feel vitamins certainly do give me the extra energy, vitality, and stamina I need during the day. I do feel the difference if I go without.
Breakfast: Green Smoothie: 5-10 minutes
Kale, banana, blueberries, hemp seeds, spirulina, black chai seeds, maca powder, probiotic powder, flaxseed, manuka 15+ active honey, coconut water, and almond milk.
I prefer a liquid breakfast weekdays, and on weekends it’s normally poached egg, avocado, and pink Himalayan salt flakes with wild rocket on sourdough. I never deprive myself – I love to eat, and I have an appreciation for good food.
Shower: 5-10 minutes
Hair Styling: 5-10 minutes
I’m constantly switching up my shampoo and conditioner, but right now I’m using Eleven Hydrate My Hair Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner. It gives me volume and good hydration. I air dry my hair first, then give it a quick blow dry and GHD finishing off with Shu Uemura Essence Absolue Oil. It has substantially improved the condition of my hair and gives it a healthy shine. For body wash, I adore Aesop products. I love Aesop Geranium Leaf Body Cleanser and Rind Concentrate Body Balm. It makes my skin glow and smells so good.
Skin & Makeup Routine: 10 minutes
I moisturize with Ella Baché Èmulsion Tomate and as the sun here in Australia is quite harsh, I try to always remember to wear Ella Baché 30+ sunscreen. Foundation is MAC Next To Nothing Face Color and MAC Pressed Powder in Medium Plus, MAC Mineralize Blush in Gentle, and I highlight cheekbones with NARS Orgasm and also dab on REN Huile Rose Oil to give a dewy healthy glow. For eyes, I love a cat eye on the corners. I use Stila Waterproof Eyeliner in Jet Black finishing with Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. For lips, I prefer a stain – either Benefit Benetint Rose Lip Stain or I blot a bit of Tom Ford Black Orchid and then apply Terry Baume De Rose to pump and moisturize my lips.
Perfume: TOM FORD
I cannot live without my Tom Ford Perfume. Vanilla Tobacco by Tom Ford is my signature scent. People always compliment and ask what scent I’m wearing.
Dressed: 10 minutes
I’m a creature of comfort; minimal classic dress during business days and weekends raw and edgy. Jewelry is contemporary. I was recently gifted with a Skagen Denmark watch, which I absolutely adore. I love Danish designs. I have also admired an Australian design company Dinosaur Designs for many years. Their resin jewelry is sublime, and their design aesthetic is flawless.
Out the Door: 7:30AM
